Interesting Upcoming Event for Women
Women are invited to a retreat in Ellijay June 27-29 called "Conversations With Julian of Norwich about God's Extravagant Love." The retreat will be led by Roberta Bondi, professor at Candler School of Theology, and Sharon Watkins, pastor of Tucker First UMC.
The brochure for the event explains that Julian of Norwich lived from 1342 to 1416. Her "Revelation of Diving Love (or Showings)" is generally considered one of the most remarkable documents of medieval religious experience and theology.
