Hope for Africa Children's Choir
You are invited to the "Hope for Africa Children's Choir" concerts. The North Georgia Conference welcomes the choir to our conference from June 15-July 1. These children travel to us from Humble Place United Methodist Church in Mukono, Uganda. Last year, they glorified God through their singing at the United Methodist General Conference in Fort Worth, Texas. This year they will sing at our Annual Conference in Athens and in churches throughout our districts. Their purpose is to glorify God through music and to raise money for their mission efforts in Uganda. Below is a schedule of their concerts. Each church and district welcomes you to attend. There are also many opportunities to volunteer and give.
Blog Site
Please check out our blog at http://northgeorgiahope.blogspot.com/ for regular updates, concert schedules and history about the choir. Our host churches and volunteers will post reflections and pictures of the choir.
Sponsorships
Greetings Friends,
We invite you to help sponsor a child from the Hope for Africa Children's Choir. These children from Mukono, Uganda are singing throughout the North Georgia Conference from June 15-July 1. One of our conference goals is to underwrite their stay with us. The more money we can help raise for the choir prior to their arrival, the more funds the choir can use for their mission efforts in Uganda. This is truly a way to be the Body of Christ. We need your help. Here are some ways that you, your church and your districts can help to underwrite the stay of the Hope for Africa Children's Choir. We look forward to their visit with us in the North Georgia Annual Conference.
$975 Will cover 1 choir members' housing, transportation, meals and activities for the entire length of their stay.
$455 Will cover 1 choir members' housing, transportation, meals and activities for 7 days.
$65 Will cover 1 choir members' housing, transportation, meals, and activities for 1 day.
You can make your donations in honor or in memory of loved one.

- Provide a cover dish meal one day
.....Just a few examples.
You may contact Terri Hoye at 770-448-4142 x105 or thoye@nfumc.org if you would like to know more about activities that your congregation may be able to sponsor.
